I am a first generation Haitian-American artist from the suburbs of upstate New York. Throughout my childhood, I drew and painted my parent’s stories, which captured the mysticism and surrealism of their lives in Haiti. In 2013, I graduated with a B.F.A from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. My professional artwork primarily focuses on examining the duality of living as a Black woman in modern American society and overcoming antiquated Caribbean colonial morals and hyper-sexualization.
